We are finally officially getting married. After 9 years of being together we finally have made an official plan to do so. You see we picked a date, a year from now on our original anniversary day we were o be betrothed. With one thing after another I was not sure how that was going to work out. Especially since we have two kids and we are trying are hardest to save up money for at least a down-payment on a house. That is the thing; I had been so caught up in what day we did it. What year it fell on. Where is was going to be. Who was going to be there. What everyone would think or feel about it. The more I thought of everything, the more I sort of overwhelmed the situation. I know I should have just wanted to be married to the man of my life. That is all that should matter. The two of us, becoming one. Officially in the state of Oregon. 😉
I know this may seem like a silly question. But it is a serious one. It is also one we should think about every day. Not where are you physically. Even though it is a valid concern usually for some. But where are we in terms of working on are our inner goals. The areas where we would like to see change. Setting goals is something we have talked on before, but for some of us it did not move much passed there. Am I right?
God is not a “respecter of persons”, meaning He does not favor one of us over another. What He has done for some one else, He can do for ALL of us. We just have to position ourselves into a place where we can receive His blessings. We have to first believe in Him, and ask Him to come live in our hearts forever.
Its great to read. Its great to relax. But it is healthy for you all to get out and do something you normally wouldn’t do “out of schedule”.
Well you all know me. I had such big ideas for tonight’s articles. A bunch wrote down, a handful of ideas, even a bunch of verses I…… Read more “Be Still??”
7 And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, 18 where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center. 19 Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was:
JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
A life of peace; What does one look like?
I am who I am. I will not be any thing I was not meant to be. Even though I have told you all before, I will tell you again. Each one of you are made special. Each one of you are unique, and each of you were created for a purpose. None of us were accidents. So I have decided to embrace it. I would like to not care what people “think” of me.
I would like to let you all know you are not alone. Whatever you are going through, whatever you are battling, you are not alone. There are thousands of people in the world struggling with the same things you are. Not being able to find love, not being able to find hope, not being able to find your purpose. Literally thousands of people are going through the same thing.
Running around in circles, day in and day out. From one problem to the next. That is not how I want to live my life. Running and running just to stay one step behind every time. That is just it though; To know what we are doing and why we are doing it, is not enough to give us peace.
