Well you all know me. I had such big ideas for tonight’s articles. A bunch wrote down, a handful of ideas, even a bunch of verses I wanted to share. But everything I have does not seem right tonight. All of the topics I had prepared fall a tad short tonight.
For the passed few days, today not included, our kid has been sick. Which has really threw me for a loop. Neither of my kids have had any “serious” colds in almost a year. So when it hit, I was caught off guard. Plans changed, Easter weekend changed. All sorts of things kind of hit the fan. I can tell you this house is a mess. I am behind on almost every one of my chores that I seriously enjoy staying on top of.
I learned long ago that everything happens for a reason. Today we had a few events that had taken a lot more time then originally expected. I am not sure why the last few days, today included, have turned out the way they have. But I feel in my heart, God is using those things to help me understand; Sometimes I just need to be still. When things turn upside down, I have faith God is in control. I KNOW he can heal the sick. I also know He does not ALWAYS heal the sick, even when they ask. Some times people go through in-explainable things, things we can not understand. I know our God is good, and I want everything that happens in my life to bring glory to His name. I know most of you do not understand that. That is alright. One day you will. For right now, I must hurry to finish my thought. But when we you know Gods character, when you know that He is NOT the cause of pain. When you start to learn and understand there is a devil. There is evil. One that will always try to steal, kill, and destroy. When you see such little faith move great mountains. We start to learn to live like we are free. Whether we have a cold or cancer we are free. We are victorious because of what Jesus did through the cross. Every thing we go through, large and small; we can handle each one from an already won stand point.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28 NKJV
When we truly know God, His goodness, and what He wills for us. We start to see, truly see, how we can win our little battles. How we can overcome even the most “crappy” situations. It was hard with my son being sick. But it helped me to slow down. It helped me to prioritize based on whats right for each of my babies. It also helped me “Be still”. Which these days, is really hard for me to do.
I know a lot of you will not understand this message today. But it was important. Two years ago, I would have panicked. I would have had a constant anxiety attack about the whole situation. I also probably would have constantly stressed about it for the last five days. But I understand how to overcome situations now. I understand that I can be free from stress and anxiety if I CHOOSE to be. I know I can win battles even when it looks “foggy” at the start. I am an overcomer, because that is who God made me to be. We can be victorious through even the simple life challenges; once we learn the Love of God and learn how to actively battle them. He wants to show us how. He gave us His only son to die, and gave us His Holy Spirit to be our helper and provider. So much more I have recently learned the Holy Spirit can do for us, if we only ask. We can choose how we want to fight. I want to fight to win, with truth and love. Thank you Jesus for that possibility.
There is a lot more I would like to elaborate on. A lot more I’d like to explain. But I am out of time and would like to be done know. I am sorry if my articles ever confuse you. But I pray you receive a heart of understanding towards everything God wants you to hear.
We love you all. Hope you are all having a great week!

God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble. Psalms 46:1 NKJV

I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:10 NKJV
7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
[For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen
Matthew 6:7-13 NKJV
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
Psalms 23 NKJV
