Greatest of these is LOVE

Hello Again Everyone,

At the moment I am unsure of where to begin. There are many different things I would like to share with you all. This past summer has been very enlightening. Truth be told it has been a tough one. Since my husband and I tied the knot, there are many things that have became easier for us, but also a few things that have become harder. Everything has been mostly positive. The areas that have not been however, have been great learning experiences for us all.

Would love to explain a lot of of what has taken place. Truth be told, during the most important times in your life, that is when you will learn who is going to stick by you and who is going to choose otherwise. The reality of this, is no matter what the situation, it usually hurts…. a lot. We were meant to love each other no matter what. That is what we were made to do. For a lot of us, it is not that easy. Especially when we feel as if some one chose to do something the “wrong way” or not the way we think they should have. A lot of relationships end because of difference in opinions. However some grow in their love and respect for one another. Unfortunately the numbers in these stats are not the greatest.

Right now people have a hard time understanding why we should show love through everything. Even when you think/know you are right, we still are all in this together. The world is hard enough without us creating more anger and hate within our own families, towns, and schools. People are not going to always do or say what you want them to. Though I often think life would be boring without ANY controversy. On the other side of things, this said controversy should not divide us as people but unite us. Personally I would love to always be understood. I would love for everyone I talked to, to completely understand why I did, said, or chose what I did. However I also do not believe we owe each other such “in depth” explanations about each aspect.

It tears me apart to think about how many families have been divided over such small things. Do not get me wrong, there are big things as well. The point is, no matter how hard or “controversial” life becomes, we should all be able to love each other. We should all be there for one another.

18 years ago today, the Twin Towers were taken down. Thousands of people died. Americans came together as one, because America needed them. It was a devastating day in history. But it showed how we as people can make an impact on one another. It showed how deeply we love our Country, and our fellow Americans. How much we care about the lives around us. Peoples lives changed that day, thousands lost life in the blink of an eye. We should never forget what took place.

We as people choose every day the battles we create or cease. Some times we do not get a choice of what battles have to be fought. We should still choose to show love through it all. Yes, a lot of people are hard to deal with, a lot are just flat hard to talk to. But how do we think we are going to make the world a better place if we can not get over every petty act. Some times, it is not about being right. Most times things just need to be let go.

I have to own those words. I hate it when I’m not right. I hate not getting my side heard. It is something I struggle with as well. Showing love all the time 24/7 is not easy for me either. But as a mother, as a wife, as a daughter, as a sister, as a tia, and as a Woman of God, I must. I must learn to show love no matter how hard or easy it may be at the time.

Life is hard. It is even harder when we are focused on earning the love we get from around us, when we focus the on hatred and resentment we just “have” to hold on to. I learned a long time ago, Gods love, (that He gives us freely,) Gods love we do not have to earn. It fills those voids and places in our hearts that are empty. Gods love does not keep account of our wrong doings. It does not fade when we make mistakes. It is not touchy. Gods love for us is so great that nothing can change it. People change, people argue, people fight, people are not always there for one another. God is. God is there. God is never changing and has always wanted the best for us. He wants us to have an abundant life. He sent His ONLY Son to die for us, BECAUSE HIS LOVE WAS & IS so great for us. I want to be like Jesus. I have said that before. The kindest most generous, loving, forgiving, powerful person to EVER walk this earth. I want to be like that.

That is what God wants for us all. He gave us His Holy Spirit so we could do all those things we have a hard time with. Like loving each other even when it is just so hard. Like forgiving each other, even when it is just so hard. Being generous, kind, faithful, even when we just do not know how. He is our strength. He is our help. He is our power. He IS Love.

Love you all. Be Blessed always.

Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fade-less under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].
Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth]. 1 Cor. 13:4-8 AMPC

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.
Psalm 121 NKJV

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. 1 Cor. 13:1-3 NKJV
