Today I am going to leave several sections of a bible story below. It is important this season, to understand the reason for this season. It is important to know some of the details because even though this story happened 2018 years ago. It still shaped our whole future. Many events in history have not yet been proven. But that is not why I am here. If you do not believe the story of Baby Jesus then I am sorry and my heart out to you. But I believe it with every fiber of my being. I believe God chose a scared couple who had no idea what was to come. Then gave them both the strength, the courage and the signs of confirmation to know that it was safe to take that walk into the unknown.

I shared on Wednesday what Mary must have felt. But I can not imagine the Joy she must have had once she received the confirmation that this was a God Blessed adventure. She had received favor as she puts it. It was not an obligation, it was a privilege. It was a blessing and a miracle. Although she was not the only one who had to accept the state of this situation. Mary and Joseph were promised to be married. When she learned she was with child. Joseph found a lot of problems with the entire situation. Until he was visited by the same Angel and received confirmation that this was a God given adventure. He found out Mary had done no wrong. Then he chose to marry her and he chose to be the “earthly” father of this “Immanuel” Child. Once they both found out, they both received confirmation. Then they both had to accept the challenge and move forward. I say move forward because it could not have been easy. That was only the beginning.

Once everything began, they began to receive directions that needed followed for any of this plan to work. Things to come were by no means simple, or easy. They were proving to be the hardest things they were going to overcome. I have several favorite parts about this story. One of my favorites, is the Lord gave Mary a direct call, a direct confirmation. But one of the other things I love, is God also gave Joseph a direct call, direct instructions. He blessed Mary with a man of understanding wisdom to help guide her and their new bundle into the amazing future to come. I love that he gave them each other, so they would not be alone in this new adventure awaiting.

I will try to keep this next part short because I know how hard it is to stay engaged when the article is soo long. But I truly feel in ,my heart. If we could understand how these two “normal” people felt when they received this direct call from the Lord. That it will be that much easier for us to understand how to even receive the “smaller” calls we get from the Lord everyday. We just need to pray and listen.

Unique Advice Today: Start reading the story of how baby Jesus came to be. Think, study and pray on what stands out to you. There are so many different directions and blessings that can come out of every corner of these stories and I just encourage you all to look into this story this month. Learn the true meaning of this season. Even if you have read it before or think you already know the story. You will find something more, every time you read it. Every time you read any story in the bible, if you are open to it, you will hear something new or better every time.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus , for He will save His people from their sins.” So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus .

Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah, and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.”

And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name. And His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation. He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, And the rich He has sent away empty. He has helped His servant Israel, In remembrance of His mercy, As He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and to his seed forever.” And Mary remained with her about three months, and returned to her house.
