Good Evening everyone,
Hope you are all doing well. The Christmas season has officially began for everyone. I truly hope the hustle and bustle of this busy time of year is not getting to stressful for all of you. Remember this time of year is not about presents, and it is not about stress.
I got to thinking about it the other day. You know Mary had no idea what her “Christmas”; (Which was not Christmas yet by that time) was going to be like. She did not plan to have a baby, she barely had a “Boyfriend” at that time. She probably had a lot of different plans. She could have wanted to do all sorts of “different” things in her life. Then she had a visit from an Angel and from that point on her life was completely changed.
Knowing how I handle change in life; I can not say how cool I personally would have handled that information. I am sure once she excepted that it was not “just a dream” it was a little easier to process. But I can not even begin to imagine how she felt. When I had found out I was pregnant with my second child, I was so upset. At the time it seemed like a terrible situation, but today we could not even imagine life without her. It was not what we had planned on and it did NOT fit into the plans we had made. We just had to go on faith that it was going to work out. But that was the thing. Faith played a big part in the whole situation. With out it We would have been completely lost.
That all being said; I can not imagine how Mary had felt. If she would have completely panicked, or if she would have said “No I can not handle that I would prefer to not carry that Jesus baby. Find someone else. Then the Jesus mission would have turned out a tad differently. So it is a good thing, even though she was scared, unprepared and had different plans, that she stepped out in Faith and LITERALLY changed the World. Her Baby Boy went on to SAVE all the people in the world.
So thank you to Mary, who handled the unknown with faith and grace. Instead of panic and fear like we would now days. 😉
Unique Advice for Today: Whoever you are and what ever you are looking to overcome it. Handle it with grace and FAITH. Make sure to pray too, that helps more then you can even phathom.
“”Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus . He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” And the angel answered and said to her, “ The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible.” Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. “” Luke 1:26-38 NKJV
