That Time Of Year…..Again?

In case none of you have noticed, we have Officially reached the Fall season. I am aware that it has began a few weeks ago; But since it has stated I have very much been enjoying the colors changing and the nice crisp morning air. People have been saying this season will be short, winter is on it’s way and there is no reason to panic. Of course; But it is a tad depressing. I enjoy the fall season. I love most moments of it. The only thing that may seem overwhelming, is it’s the start of the “holiday season”.

In my family this is the time of year where the birthdays pick up, the activities start to take over, and there are many people who have the same type of situation. I like to think of this season as the start of the holidays, but also as the start of “inside family time”. Activities, time spent with the family, all of those little moments just watching movies and drinking hot cocoa mean so much to me. God blessed us with the seasons to show us there is a time for everything. Different seasons bring different activities and also different perspectives. If we begin each new season with the perspective of, “Man this season is going to be a bad one”, then we have already missed out on the excitement by degrading the situation from the start.

It is kind of along the lines of when I told you all to not start a day, ANY day, with “It is going to be a bad day”. Mainly for the fact of, you have no idea what this day will bring. You have no idea the impending joy you may have. Especially if you think from the start that it is bad.

Instead, Start with, “This is a day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.” Yes I know that is a song. But it is also truthful. It makes a difference and I can guarantee it.

The same can be said about each season; Each event, each and every aspect of our lives should be met with happiness and an optimistic attitude. There is so much ahead of us that we could really be surprised at how well our day can turn out, just by looking forward to each moment given to us. Just by a difference in attitude or perspective our whole world could change.

Unique Advice For Today: Begin each day, each new moment, and each event in your life, with happiness, gratitude, optimism, and prayer. The difference will be unbelievable. We need to persevere through life as we know it.

I know in my heart that each day is a gift. Even if you do not believe in God, you are possibly still in agreement of each of our lives being a gift. Each moment we have is a blessing. Like it or not that is part of our reality. We did not earn our lives, we do not deserve our lives. Yet it is still ours to live. Ours to take responsibility for. Since life is not something earned or deserved, it is in fact defined as a gift.

On the spiritual side of this. Our God bought and paid for our freedom. He gave us the life we have. He gave us free will do to as we wanted. He has given each of us the opportunity to share the knowledge we have and share the love we have received.

One of the many things I love about this concept, is we have free will. We have been given authority over our own lives. To do with as we please. But do we choose everyday to be happy with what we have? Do we choose to love the people in our lives? Or do we spent our hours in need, in pain, and in want of meaningless things?

Each day is a blessing. Each day IS a new beginning. It is what you want it to be. Some days there are moments where you do not understand why things are not turning out the way you wanted them too. But we need to persevere through it all. Learn from it all. Grow in how we react, grow in how we “handle” things, and show everyone watching how much of a difference, just our little attitudes/perspectives will make.

To persevere through everyday life is a big deal. Whether things are going great or not. You can handle all things, through Christ whom has given you strength.

I know there is a lot going on in your lives. I also know there are many of you dreading tomorrow. Take a step back, pray and do not worry about tomorrow. Be joyful in each moment we have been given. Look for the positive side of things and you WILL find it.

Hope you all have a very wonderful evening.

“For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;  strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,  in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”   Colossians 1:9-14 NKJV

 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  Philippians 4:13 NKJV

 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.  Matthew 6:31-34 NKJV
