Investing into Your Life

So, in case you do not already know; Life is hard!! Real life is hard work. Being an adult is hard work. Being a parent is even more hard work. If you are going to be an adult soon, you are in for a huge surprise. If you are already an adult, you know how hard things can and will get. You have babies? Then you know, darn stinking well, how hard that constantly is. There aren’t many breaks, if any at all. Even when there are breaks, there is still always something that can/needs to be done. You have to invest time and energy into your life. People need clean clothes. People need clean dishes. In hindsight they don’t “need” clean things but honestly it is really preferred. There is also money that needs invested into making. Time and effort have to be put in, to make some sort of living. For some people it is more then others. But none the less it is still hard work. Whether it be just a mediocre job, creating/running your own business, or going to school to study the field in which you want to pursue. All of which takes effort, it takes hard work.

There are plenty of grey areas of course. People who don’t work, or who do not really care that much but still manage to “get by”. That is fine, its all fine to just “get by”. If that is really how you feel, then more power to ya. The thing is though, I truly believe the harder you work in life, the better your life can be. Not just at work, but at home too, or at being a parent. The more you are willing to invest into your life, the more you will get out of it. We were meant to live for so much more, then just a mediocre life.

If you are to sit and do nothing more then you absolutely have to. Do you really expect to get anywhere? What progress could you possibly make.

Every morning, I really need to get the dishes done today.

Every evening, even though I swept and got a short nap , I can not believe that the dishes still are not done.

Doesn’t make much sense now does it? You are only going to get out as much as you put into something. When you set a goal, you have to takes steps towards achieving that goal. For example, if you want a garden, you prepare your field, then you water it, and then you wait. The thing is, you are NEVER going to produce any fruits, or vegetables or even flowers; if you do not take the time to sow any seeds. No investment, no commitment, no hard work, and you will ALWAYS just have an empty field. Being an adult is the same way, it is hard work. It is constant work. Life is hard and that’s a fact. But once you learn to invest into your life wisely, things start to become a little bit easier. Nothing is ever really easy; if it was, I think life would become very boring. There would be no goals to make, and no reward for the hard work we put into them.

When you want more out of something, you need to put more into it. You want more out of your life? Then you really need to invest more into it.
