Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,
Romans 5:20 NKJV
I would like to start this article by letting you all know; I am very sorry if I ever offend any one of you. That is NOT my goal, that is NOT what I strive towards. I also try really hard to not write things a certain way to avoid the offense that could come along with any of it. I am very well understanding that I will NEVER be able to make everyone happy at the same time. I am also very aware that there is ALWAYS something that will come out of your mouth that could cause some type of offense to some one.
I truly love you all. Also I try soo hard to be completely understanding of each one of your feelings. The thing is, I am really, really, really tired of offense. Offense at its finest, causes wars, it causes divorces, it causes friendships to break, it causes horrible fights, it causes “drama”; Offense causes all sorts of bad. It flies around, seeking people it can cause harm to. It is like a disease, or a type of rash. The more you feed it, the more you scratch it, the more it spreads. It is bad for your health and bad for your well being.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:21 NKJV
Imagine Sweat, it covers you all over. If you do not learn how to just wash it off, you are eventually going to start to stink horribly. Your health is at risk. You are liable to not have friends who want to be close to you any more. At a certain point, the grease, the smell and he itchiness that has taken over your body becomes hard to be rid of. If you learn to take forever to wash it off, it starts to seep in and could become a habit. You may be able to wash, more often, but you are still at risk of letting it cover you for days before you remember to wash it off. BUT, when you get into the habit of washing it off right away, then you will be healthier, happier and more approachable. When we are clean, we are more likely to be happy. To feel more refreshed, and to feel better about the world around us. Offense is the same way. If we learn to let things go easier, and maybe even quicker; Then even though we can not take away the original sadness, we can however move on and enjoy our lives more. Lets fill our lives with JOY, with PEACE, and with LOVING KINDNESS.
Holding onto things will hurt us. It will take root, and sprout bitterness. The term “Let Go and Let God” is a widely used phrase. It fits in so many situations. Offense is one of the most important situations to apply it to our lives. Pray about the offense. Pray about the person who caused it, or who “started” it. Pray about it. Let it go, and let God handle it.
Learning how to deny offense a hold in our life, is a key thing to making the world a better place. It is key in being a better person. It is key to living a joyful life, and even a more peaceful life. Plus it is key when you are trying to be more like Jesus. It is key in so many areas. We have to stand against the enemy. The Offense enemy will ALWAYS be lurking and trying to find ways into your hearts, minds, and households. We need to stand against the enemy and fight. Tell the offense “NO MORE” I am done being offended. I am done letting the little things take root in my heart. I am done being bitter. I am done letting things steal my joy. This is not worth my time and I REFUSE to harbor these negative thoughts any more.

I am sorry, but there are so many sides to each story. Even when we do not understand one side of them, we should not be so quick to take offense. Or quick to be so angry and bitter about each situation.
I really, really, really want to not ever be offended again. By anyone! That is an easy thought, yet so super hard to accomplish. You see the enemy is still going to circle around & around, and try every situation it can to attack me with the offense bug. Up until it learns it can not attack me in that area. Then it will switch things up, attack me in some other insecurity that it finds me having. The minute I have forgotten I already overcame Offensive situations, it will be right back there trying to see if it can enter in again, & even again.
These things, these thoughts, these “worldly battles” such as being offended, are constant fights. They will constantly try to attack us. We have to be ready, every moment of every day to fight against each and every attack. We have to learn the word, and learn the prayers, to fight each fight WITH POWER!

With the Power of God ALL things are possible.
Most things, will be hard to overcome. Most days it is so so difficult to remember all of the things we have already learned. I have learned how to handle some situations. Not all of them. This offense thing, is seriously hurting my family, and I will not stand for it. Offense has no hold on me or my family. It has no power in our lives anymore. It should not be aloud to enter your lives either. I come against it in the name of the Lord. Amen.
I hope you all agree. I hope none of you are offended at this post or any of my others. That isn’t always easy, like I have said before. But we must take control of our thoughts. They are ours to control. We need to reload the ammo we have to fight against every attack. We can do this. You can do this. I can do this.
Love you all. I pray you all have a great week. 🙂
This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.
Acts 24:16 NKJV
But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.
I Peter 4:7-9 NKJV
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
I John 4:18 NKJV
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he MAY devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 1 Peter 5:8-9 NKJV
Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.
I Corinthians 16:13-14 NKJV

Little children, let us stop just saying we love people; let us really love them, and show it by our actions. I John 3:18 TLB
If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
