Children Of the Future

Our little girl turned 3 on Friday. Not sure exactly where the time has gone. She was a little tiny helpless being just yesterday. I know everyone has said to enjoy this while it lasts because the time goes fast. But I did not really think the time was going to go as fast as it has. It is fascinating to me how much she has grown. How much she has learned. Not to mention how much she has learned about taking care of herself. Our little miss independent baby girl blows my mind. She makes me think constantly about her future. Both her and her older brother have both gotten so “mature” in just the last year. I want the best for both of them. We both do.

Right now all we can do is try our best to raise them right. Try our best to be there for them through all circumstances throughout life. The more they grow, the more we start to see the amazing God given personalities they were given. I pray for them and their futures all of the time. It is important to us that they learn values and morals while they are still little. Then the prayer is those values will stick with them for the rest of their lives.

We want to be be able to know that our kids can handle anything. That when they leave home they have the wisdom, strength, and courage to face all of the trials they will face. I know that God is on their side, and that He is with them always; But I want them to KNOW that also. I want them to remember that always.

6Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6(NKJV)

It is important to me that both our babies turn into wonderful, powerful soldiers. Knowing how to face each battle as it comes. Knowing that life is hard but we can fight back harder.

There is never going to be an easy way out. It is important we teach our kids that and that we also teach them how to win battles. Simply knowing they can win battles does them no good, if they lack the knowledge of HOW to win. As parents it is our job to equip our children with the knowledge they need to keep moving forward. Knowledge to use in every aspect of life. Not just one or two areas. As parents we will all fail if we do not even try. If we let them “just figure it out on their own”, they we are missing our main purpose. We were blessed with children so we could guide them, so we could learn ourselves. We can help them grow, and in turn grow ourselves. Everyone has something they can learn, everyone has something they can teach. As a mother, AND as a daughter I encourage all of you, no matter which role you have been blessed with; to embrace the knowledge you are receiving.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 NKJV

The hardest part for me, is watching them grow, and not knowing for sure if they are getting enough knowledge before they reach the next level. We have to do it now, not wait. Not put it off for another day. Life is now, wisdom has to start somewhere before it is too late.

I hope and pray you all spread some type of knowledge where ever you go in life. You and your family can help each other through so much. We all just have to be willing to grow, but also willing to absorb truth.

Sorry for such a scratchy article today. The life bug has hit us again. We are learning to roll with the punches of each turn. We are actually learning so much this year so hope you all stick with me as we continue this journey of life together. Love you all, have a wonderful week. 🙂

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:17 (NKJV)
